PÖRRIÄISET FOLKLORE ENSEMBLE
PÖRRIÄISET has been in action from the year 1973 and the home area is calling Nurmijärvi, a county with 35000 inhhabitants and what leis about 35 km north to Helsinki.
The danceprogram of PÖRRIÄISET mainly consists of traditionals Finnish folkdances and also new coreographes, which are based upon the old tunes.
From the very beginning the group PÖRRIÄISET has been lead by Mrs. Pirjo Nuortila.
The musicians are Dir.mus Jari Komulainen, Heli Jänönen, Kati Leivonen, accordion and Pauliina Pajala, violin.
During the activity of the group PÖRRIÄISET they have taken part of numerous opportynies so in Nurmijärvi, in other parts of Finland as in the foreign countries representing the Finnish folklore.
